  ARAN RYAN, QUIK CAMMISH AXED!!

  July 8, 1999

  News Update broadcasters, Aran Ryan and Quik Cammish were both fired earlier today by executive producer, Al Lowal. He stated the reason they were fired was becasue they were virtually dead in the popularity polls, and they have been stagnant since their first and only appearences. Aran Ryan made one appearence in the first May episode, while Quik Cammish's only show was on April 24th. Joe Mellart and Frank Sameuls refused to comment on the situation.

  A Short Description
  In case you're wondering exactly what News Update is, well it is a type of sketch-comedy show, except that the whole concept is based on fake, or sometimes exaggerated, news. The show is made about 2 or 3 times a month. That may not seem like a lot, but since the news is made up on the spot, it doesn't make a difference. The shows star Joe Mellart and Frank Sameuls and are directed and supervised by Mac Flexer, all of which are affiliated with a larger company, Script-Sketch Productions. There have been episodes made, (including a special awards show) since January 17, 1999. These shows are taped using two VHS cameras and they are available upon request. There are no scripts, as we mentioned before, everything is basically ad-libbed right then and there. Some famous News Update characters include, but are not limited to: EZ Ray, Johhny Dye, Jefferey Dye, Jim Jo Bone, and Calypso. We hope this page will help you learn a lot more about our great News Update series, because it will include pictures, show guides, and eventually sound.
